Monotonous, mantra-like daily notes of a Lighthouse Bonita keepers journal were printed on transparent cards and suspended from the ceiling of the Headlands Art Center’s iconic yellow Rodeo Room. A small fan in the corner of the room was creating a breeze moving gently the suspended pieces. Two circular video projections of time-lapse photographs of the ocean taken from the Bay Area were projected onto cards leaving shadows of letters moving slowly through the walls. Videos faded in and out every few seconds, mimicking an image from beneath of slowly closing and opening eyelids.
It is utterly beyond our power to measure the changes of things by time. Quite the contrary, time is an abstraction at which we arrive by means of the changes of things [Ernst Mach]
In common scientific experience observer is not aware of impact of psychological time on his experience. He experiences motion happening in time, he is not aware that motion runs in timeless space only and time is his frame of experience. With rising awareness of psychological time observer develops direct experience. He experiences motion as it runs in timeless space [Amrit Šorli]
